Mazēdāra

Taking inspiration from stained glass and my love for fluid shapes and anatomies of web-like figures, I created this Summer-themed mural and styling display for vintage clothes shop Blue Rinse.

I wanted to use bright and vibrant colours for the fruit and glass panels to really embody the youthful feel that the season of summer can fortify. For the styling, I wanted to stick to the colour blocking theme I had created through the stained glass look and create synonymous looks that compliment the fruity colours.

I had under 3 days to complete the entire canvas which meant sacrificing the quality of the finish as I bit off slightly more than I could chew. I'm still happy with the final result and think it is a fun, exuberant and eye-catching window display that has a summery feel and will engage passers-by and invite them in to explore the shop.

The name Mazēdāra means 'Juicy' in Punjabi
